The 52-chapter format is genuinely practical for structured support group use and Thomas Nelson's reputation gives it some credibility, but a 1992 publication with no verifiable critical reviews and an underdocumented author is a weak foundation for a recommendation. The self-esteem literature has moved substantially since then. Fine as a historical artifact or a counselor's supplementary resource; not a title to seek out fresh.
