A Classic Christmas
Louisa May Alcott, Charles Dickens & Hans Christian Andersen Β· 2019

You genuinely can't go wrong with Dickens, Alcott, and Andersen under one cover, and the writing itself holds up beautifully after all these years. But this is a repackaged anthology of public-domain classics with basically no independent reviews behind it, so you're paying for a nice gift-book presentation more than new value.
β¦ Penny’s Take β this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read β not a page-by-page personal one. The gold β Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
β Parent note β our reviewers flagged: A Christmas Carol includes ghost/supernatural visitations and mortality themes used as a moral device β worth knowing for sensitive readers, though not occult in intent. We still scored it 64; these are context for your family, not an automatic skip.
