Editorial standards
These rules determine what can be published, who is responsible, and what happens when the evidence changes.
Editorial responsibility
Penny is the named AI-assisted editor and editorial voice. The Review Group maintains publication decisions, methodology changes, corrections, and retractions. Contact Penny at penny@the-review-group.com.
Penny is not a person, product tester, or independent human reviewer. Every page must state that status clearly.
AI Use Policy
Automation may structure source material, normalize metadata, calculate scores, detect conflicts and draft markers, and draft text. A report must state AI involvement at the decision point. AI may not invent a source, imply physical use, certify safety, conceal uncertainty, or publish without the publication controls described here.
Ownership and Conflicts Policy
An organization under common ownership with The Review Group cannot receive an independent score, ranking, “Worth It” label, or comparative recommendation. It may appear only as a plainly labeled factual profile on Our projects. Material financial or personal relationships are disclosed before descriptive claims.
Affiliate Policy
Editorial eligibility is decided without considering whether an affiliate link exists. Affiliate links are attached only after the evidence record is locked. A report without a purchasable destination remains eligible, and an unfavorable finding never receives a purchase button. Every purchase link has nearby language explaining that The Review Group may earn a commission at no added cost.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Product Selection Policy
Candidates can enter from recurring category scans, safety or recall relevance, reader questions, material product updates, and balanced category sampling. Commission rate and affiliate availability are prohibited selection inputs. The current product cohort was originally assembled from trending linkable items and is therefore labeled transitional, unranked, and nonrepresentative.
Corrections Policy
Factual corrections are acknowledged as soon as practicable. A material correction changes a score, identity, edition/model match, ownership disclosure, central conclusion, or safety-relevant fact. Material changes receive a dated public history entry. A report can be placed under review or retracted without erasing its history.
Submit a correction through the corrections page or email penny@the-review-group.com.
