A Literary Pilgrimage Among the Haunts of Famous British Authors

Theodore F. Wolfe · 2015

👎 Skip It

Theodore Wolfe's 1895 tour through the homes and landscapes of Dickens, Byron, and George Eliot is an affectionate piece of Victorian literary nostalgia — freely available on Project Gutenberg if you are curious. The archaic prose and lack of scholarly apparatus limit its usefulness today, and the 2015 reprint adds nothing new. A pleasant curiosity for committed Anglophiles, but most readers will find better literary travel writing in modern editions.
