Capstone's Far Out Classic Stories series has a proven track record in school and library settings, and the dinosaur re-skin of Verne is a genuinely clever hook for reluctant readers in grades three through six. At forty pages there is not much room for character depth or faithful adaptation, though, and the individual volume adds little beyond the series concept. A solid classroom tool, not a memorable read on its own.
