A Taste of Sin
Fiona Zedde is a Lambda Literary Award finalist with a genuine gift for centering Black lesbian characters with emotional depth, and A Taste of Sin shows that. Desiree's return to Miami to support her family through her mother's cancer diagnosis is handled with real feeling, and the friendships in her circle are vivid. The love triangle β Dez falls for the same woman her twin brother wants β carries genuine tension. That said, this book requires a clear content note: it is erotica-adjacent fiction with explicit sexual scenes, and at least one reviewer described the sexual content as pornographic. It is not appropriate for children, teenagers, or readers seeking faith-safe content, and it is not a fit for a family-safe platform. Adult LGBTQ+ fiction readers who enjoy this author's work know what they're getting, and many have found it worth their time. Everyone else should look elsewhere.
