Our record credited Sax Rohmer; the truth is better and worse — this is Graphic Classics volume 12, a black-and-white comics anthology where thirteen adventure tales (Dumas, Kipling, Conan Doyle, Stevenson, O. Henry, plus one Rohmer story) get adapted by indie comics artists. The concept is lovely; the execution is anthology-uneven, and Goodreads readers land it at a middling 3.23. Completists of the series will enjoy it; everyone else should read the originals or pick a stronger volume. Narrow skip.
