Ageless Body, Timeless Mind
Deepak Chopra's 1993 bestseller was genuinely influential in bringing mind-body research to a mainstream American audience, and some of its practical recommendations β on nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and sleep β reflect ideas that have since gained broader scientific support. Kirkus called it 'thoughtful and sometimes inspiring.' That said, faith-friendly readers need a clear heads-up: this book is rooted in Hindu spiritual philosophy, including Ayurvedic medicine, Transcendental Meditation, and a concept of 'unity consciousness' with Brahman that the Christian Research Institute has explicitly identified as incompatible with Christian theology. The quantum physics language Chopra uses to support his claims has also been criticized as a metaphor stretched well beyond its scientific meaning. Worth knowing what you are getting into before you pick it up.
