Kathleen Fuller spans a whole lifetime of love here — a young woman's illness, a decade-later reunion, widowed letter-writers, and a bachelor won over by pie — and one steady authorial voice across all four helps it hang together better than most anthologies. It's sweet and unchallenging, more comfort read than anything groundbreaking. Lauren Berst narrates, but without performance detail I can't vouch for how the audio sounds.
