A biblical-artifact chase with a genuinely creepy assassin and a shadowy one-world-government plot — the premise is fun, but the plotting stretches credulity and the characters stay pretty thin on the page. Short chapters keep it moving fast, which helps carry you through. Passable adventure fiction, but not one of the stronger picks here.
