Self-help ✦ Penny’s Take
Canvas of Change
Ilany Kogan · 2012
70/100
👍 Worth It
Ilany Kogan's monograph is a serious, carefully constructed contribution to psychoanalytic literature on creativity — her background working with Holocaust survivors' offspring gives the trauma dimension unusual depth, and the extended case studies do real work. This is an essentially inaccessible book for anyone outside academic psychoanalysis or professional art therapy, and even within those audiences Karnac's niche distribution limits its reach. For the right professional reader, it earns a place on the shelf.
