Finance ✦ Penny’s Take
Competition and Entrepreneurship
Israel M. Kirzner · 2015
82/100
👍 Worth It
This is a genuine classic of Austrian School economics — Kirzner reframes the entrepreneur as someone alert to overlooked opportunities in an imperfect market, rather than a footnote in equilibrium math. It's been kept in print by University of Chicago Press, Liberty Fund, and the Mises Institute for fifty years, which tells you how much the field still leans on it. Dense theory and one particular school of thought, but a landmark.
