Credit Engineering for Bankers
Morton Glantz and Johnathan Mun set out to do something ambitious: bring credit analysis, portfolio management, loan pricing, derivatives, and Monte Carlo simulation under one roof in a single professional reference. At 556 pages published by Academic Press under the Elsevier imprint, they largely succeed. This is an intermediate-to-advanced text aimed squarely at working credit professionals and finance graduate students, and its breadth is its core strength β you don't need five different textbooks when this one covers the waterfront. The honest caveat is that this book has no audience outside banking and credit risk: the technical density requires a strong quantitative background, and the lack of mainstream reviews makes it hard to benchmark against competing texts. But for its target reader β a credit analyst or risk manager wanting a comprehensive professional reference β it covers the essential ground with serious editorial backing.
