Cul de Sac

Blake Pierce · 2019
65/100
👎 Skip It

Blake Pierce knows how to set a scene — a high school reunion murder in a suburban cul-de-sac, where old cliques and buried resentments make everyone a suspect, is a genuinely clever premise. Chloe Fine's personal backstory (her father's release from prison) layers nicely over the procedural plot. But some reader reviews flag editing quality issues, the series formula is well-worn, and the book works best after reading the first two entries. Solid genre entertainment for Blake Pierce fans; not the place to start for newcomers.
