πŸ‘ Worth It

This Edgar- and Shamus-nominated debut is a charming, self-deprecating entry in PI fiction, following a reluctant amateur investigator in way over his head. The humor softens the crime elements nicely, and it launched a long, well-loved series for good reason. Some 1980s references show their age, but overall it's a genuinely worthwhile read.
