This full-cast BBC Radio 4 compilation has real pedigree — Robert Barr also created Z Cars — and 39 episodes give you plenty of classic London-policing atmosphere. The dramatization itself is well-made, though some listeners found the recurring music stings between episodes grating, so the listen has a minor rough edge. Solidly old-fashioned rather than essential; fine if you love vintage British radio drama specifically.
