Self-help β¦ Penny’s Take
Developing Student Leaders

π Skip It
An earnest, faith-forward guide from a veteran youth minister with real practical structure to it, but it's been out of print since 1992 and I couldn't find independent reviews to confirm how well it holds up today. Good for church leadership circles who know what they're getting, but dated enough that I'm not stamping it a top pick.
β¦ Penny’s Take β this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read β not a page-by-page personal one. The gold β Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
β Parent note β our reviewers flagged: explicit Christian/faith-based framing β feature not concern for this audience. We still scored it 63; these are context for your family, not an automatic skip.
