Self-help ✦ Penny’s Take
Emotions and Anxiety
Marvin Zuckerman · 2016

This 1976 edited volume is a landmark of mid-20th century emotion and anxiety research, and the names attached to it — Zuckerman, Spielberger — carry real weight in the field. But fifty years of subsequent science have moved well past the methods and findings assembled here, and the dense multi-contributor format was never designed for anyone outside a graduate seminar. Historically significant, practically superseded.
