Self-help ✦ Penny’s Take
Enemy Pie

👍 Worth It
Enemy Pie has earned its place in classrooms and home libraries alike — it's won awards, appeared on Reading Rainbow, and is genuinely one of the better picture books for teaching kids that enemies can become friends when you actually spend time with them. Kirkus found the illustrations bland, and the resolution is admittedly quick, but for social-emotional learning at the read-aloud age, the lesson lands clearly and warmly. A solid pick for parents and teachers.
