Enterprising Women in Transition Economies

David Smallbone · 2016
70/100
👍 Worth It

Smallbone and Welter did something important here — generating original empirical research on female entrepreneurship in seven post-communist countries and connecting it to policy analysis at a time when this literature barely existed. The academic register and the specificity of the geographic focus make it a niche read, but within that niche it is genuinely substantive and rigorously grounded. Researchers and policy practitioners in gender and economic development will find real value in it.
