This is a real piece of scholarship — Goffee and Scase actually went looking at how ordinary people across Europe, including women and ethnic minorities, became entrepreneurs, not just the usual founder-hero stories. But it's a 1987 sociology text written for university shelves, and the writing and data both show their age. Great for a researcher, tough sledding for anyone just wanting a good read.
