This is a solid, comprehensive intro textbook if you're in a business classroom, but it reads exactly like what it is — a course text, not something you'd pick up for fun. Bessant and Tidd know the field, and the global perspective and crowdfunding coverage keep it current, but there's not much independent commentary to lean on beyond the publisher's own pitch.
