This is a sincere, serious collection of theological essays from a priest wrestling hard with faith and the soul, and it's genuinely valuable if you're already deep in Catholic Modernist history. But it's dense academic prose, and I couldn't find any independent reviews to confirm how it landed with real readers. Scholars only on this one.
