Exchange Traded Funds and Index Funds for Beginners
Peter Bonura Β· 2017
π Narrated by Aaron Michael
Bonura does a decent job distinguishing ETFs from index funds and includes a robo-advisor chapter that was genuinely useful context for 2017, but the ETF world has evolved enough since then β fractional shares, direct indexing, fee compression β that a beginner today would be learning a slightly outdated landscape. It is not wrong, just incomplete in ways that matter for someone opening their first account right now. Aaron Michael's narration is competent but does not add special value to an aging entry-level guide.
β¦ Penny’s Take β this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read β not a page-by-page personal one. The gold β Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
π Narration: fine Aaron Michael narrates competently; no listener complaints surfaced, but no standout delivery quality noted either.
