The Rapunzel-plus-time-travel mashup shows genuine creative ambition and the clean content makes this a dependable pick for LDS and family-focused YA readers. Being Book 2 of a series is a real barrier though β readers unfamiliar with Book 1 will feel lost, and outside its community the reception is too thin to make a strong case. Series fans will enjoy it; newcomers should start at Book 1.
