The 80-plus port coverage and money-saving tips for independent shore excursions were genuinely useful features for 2011 cruise travelers, and the cruise primer section is a thoughtful addition for first-timers. But 2011 pricing, hours, and hotel recommendations are now largely wrong, and every cruise line has been restructured since then — the practical core of this guide has expired. It might still serve as a destination inspiration read, but not as a planning tool.
