Self-help β¦ Penny’s Take
Food and Nutrition

Anita Tull's GCSE textbook did exactly what a curriculum-aligned school text should do: it was clearly written, practically structured, and widely adopted in UK secondary education. Outside that specific educational context, though, it has limited appeal, and decades-old nutritional guidelines mean neither students nor home cooks should rely on it as a current reference. Worth it only if you need to understand the GCSE Food and Nutrition syllabus of the 1990s.
