Dugan writes with genuine wit and self-awareness, and within the A Course in Miracles community she is clearly valued for making dense metaphysical concepts feel approachable through everyday anecdotes. The trouble is the book almost entirely presupposes ACIM fluency β pick it up cold and large portions will feel cryptic. For the already-initiated it is warm and useful; for everyone else it is the wrong starting point.
β¦ Penny’s Take β this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read β not a page-by-page personal one. The gold β Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.
β Parent note β our reviewers flagged: A Course in Miracles / New Age metaphysical content β may conflict with traditional Christian faith. We still scored it 60; these are context for your family, not an automatic skip.
