Frugal Living: 50 Easy Ways to Spend Less and Save More

Tom Bhatti · 2016
🎙 Narrated by Eddie Leonard Jr.
50/100
👎 Skip It

Fifty discrete, actionable money-saving tips spanning groceries, energy, transport, and entertainment — the listicle format is clear and each tip is self-contained, which actually translates reasonably well to audio. The problem is that fifty tips without an overarching philosophy or framework do not build the habit-change infrastructure that makes frugality stick, and this title does nothing to distinguish itself from the many similar lists competing for the same listener's time and money. Eddie Leonard Jr. brings competent, clear delivery that suits the format, but competent narration of forgettable content is still forgettable content.

✦ Penny’s Take — this is The Review Group’s own editorial assessment. Penny’s analytical review line researched this book from real sources and scored it across the lenses shown below. It’s an honest first-party read — not a page-by-page personal one. The gold ✓ Penny Tested mark is reserved for books Penny reads cover to cover herself.

🎙 Narration: fine Eddie Leonard Jr. (Zenstone Publishing) brings clear, competent delivery to the listicle format, and individual tips translate to audio better than chart-heavy content would. No notable production complaints found.
