Gadamer's Dialectical Hermeneutics

Barthold's argument — that a Platonic dialectical tension runs through Gadamer's entire hermeneutical project — is a genuinely original contribution to a contested scholarly debate. But this book requires serious background in continental philosophy to even follow the argument, and its audience is essentially limited to graduate seminars and specialists. Meaningful within its narrow lane; irrelevant outside it.
