Jim Collins does something genuinely useful here — he takes the principles from Good to Great and translates them with care for nonprofit, education, and government leaders who have been told for years that business thinking is the answer. The research is real, the argument is persuasive, and the Hedgehog Concept translates surprisingly well outside the profit world. The only real catch is that at under 40 pages, it reads more like a long essay than a book, and you'll get more out of it if you've already read the original.
