Paul Adams distils academic social-network research into clear, readable frameworks for designers and marketers, and in 2012 it was genuinely useful. The problem is that a dozen years of platform shifts have aged its specific examples badly, and at 168 pages the depth never quite matches the ambition. Worth a read if you find a cheap copy and work in UX or marketing strategy, but not the essential text it once was.
