Usborne knows what it's doing, and packing five swashbuckling classics like The Three Musketeers and Don Quixote into one illustrated, kid-friendly volume is a genuinely smart way to introduce young readers to big stories early. The retellings are simplified by necessity, but the author bios and steady backlist presence tell me this one holds up.
