Reacher wakes up in the dark with no memory and a hurt arm, and it's a fun hook, but even Kirkus said this one plays it simpler than the Reacher books that came before it under Andrew Child's fuller creative control. It's fine escapist action if you're already a diehard fan, but I wouldn't call it essential. Scott Brick narrates reliably, though nothing I found makes this particular outing a standout listen.
