Donald McKim's sixteen-topic primer is a well-structured, readable entry point into Reformed theology — the kind of book that works equally well in a Sunday school adult class, a seminary introduction course, or for a curious layperson working through what their tradition actually believes. Readers from a more strictly confessional Reformed background should know going in that McKim's Barthian leanings shape some of his conclusions. For its intended audience, it earns its place.
