Fox tells a gripping, personally narrated story about her years undercover for the CIA, and mainstream critics loved the prose -- but former CIA officers have publicly and specifically disputed key episodes as implausible given how actual operations worked, and she published without the agency's required review, apparently violating her NDA. That's a real credibility problem for a book sold as memoir rather than fiction, so I can't call this one trustworthy as written. The self-narration itself is genuinely good, but that doesn't fix the truth-telling issue underneath it.
