S. Usher Evans delivers on the clean YA promise — no content landmines, strong character work, and an adversary-to-friend dynamic that gives the story real emotional texture. The witchcraft premise is light and tonal rather than ideological, closer to Sabrina than to anything occult-serious, though faith-observant families will want to make that call for themselves.
