Robert Luxenberg's personal story — walking away from a salary at 47 and building wealth in real estate before 50 — is genuinely compelling, and Kirkus praised his clear, direct prose. The problem is that a sample size of one, however inspiring, is not a replicable framework, and Kirkus itself flagged the need for readers to do serious local due diligence before acting on the real estate advice. Worth reading as a motivational case study; not a substitute for proper financial education.
