Mindscapes, the Geographies of Imagined Worlds

The 1989 Eaton Conference proceedings are a legitimate piece of SF criticism history with a genuinely impressive contributor list — Poul Anderson, David Brin, Gregory Benford, Le Guin scholars — but this is a specialist academic volume with no mainstream reception and narrow utility outside university SF studies programs. It belongs in research library collections more than on personal shelves unless you're doing graduate-level work in speculative fiction criticism.
