Missing Link & Operation Haystack

Frank Herbert · 2008
63/100
👎 Skip It

These two early Frank Herbert stories are historically interesting as pre-Dune work — you can see the agent-intrigue and bio-manipulation interests that would later run through his mature novels. But the pulp-era execution is considerably less polished than anything he became known for, and the appeal is genuinely narrow: Herbert completists and classic SF historians will find value here that general readers will not. A curiosity, not a recommendation.
