Felix Martin has a genuinely fun way of weaving Homer, Shakespeare, and Dickens into a history of money, and it stays engaging even when the economics gets dense. But his central idea, that money is purely a 'social technology,' doesn't quite convince a lot of critics, and Nicholas Guy Smith's narration is solid but unremarkable. A decent listen for economic-history buffs, not a must-hear.
