Kim Andrews clearly knows nature-based learning, and simple photos paired with plain facts are exactly right for a 3-5-year-old's attention span. It's a fine, gentle little book — I just don't have anything beyond wide distribution to say it's a standout over the dozen other 'first book of nature' options out there.
