A pastor-physician with sixteen years of Bay Area radio ministry has real credibility with his community, and the 'prescription' framing for daily devotions is memorable and engaging. Outside that established community, though, the book has virtually no critical or commercial footprint, which makes it hard to evaluate independently. Strong for readers already connected to Bishop Hames's ministry; a leap of faith for everyone else.
