For its narrow specialist audience — pharmacologists, dietitians, and graduate researchers — this Springer volume offers a genuinely useful single-source overview of the clinical evidence and cost-benefit profile of nutritional supplements as of 2010. The problem is that supplement research has moved fast, and a 2010 edition is now substantially dated in a field where new RCTs appear constantly. Worth checking whether a newer edition or more recent review literature has superseded it before purchasing.
