π Worth It
Stephen Fry closes out his Greek Myths series with the story it was always building toward, and his warmth, humor, and genuine love for the source material make the ten-year journey of Odysseus feel both grand and intimate. The choice to weave in the other homecoming stories gives the book a panoramic sweep that single-strand retellings miss. Readers wanting Homer's full moral darkness may feel the fairytale tone softens things too much, but for mythology newcomers and returning series fans alike, this is a deeply enjoyable send-off.
