Jamie Glowacki's book is funny, breezy, and genuinely useful for parents who want a clear plan rather than open-ended waiting — and for many families the method has worked well. But the AAP's guidance leans toward child-led cues rather than parent-directed schedules, and the book's tone veers toward condescending in places. Worth reading alongside your pediatrician's advice, not instead of it.
