Oh, the Places You'll Go!
Dr. Seuss wrote this one in 1990 and somehow it still says exactly the right thing. The unnamed traveler moves through high moments, scary slumps, and the soul-draining Waiting Place before being cheered onward β and because the whole book speaks directly to you, it lands whether you are four or forty. The rhyme and illustration are pure Seuss: memorable, quotable, impossible to forget. The honest caveat is that it has become such a default graduation gift that some people tune it out before they even open it. That familiarity is a shame, because the encouragement inside is genuine. Read it slowly and it still delivers.
