Troy Wagstaff fills a real gap — fiction centered on fibromyalgia as its primary subject is nearly nonexistent — and his personal experience with the disease gives the novel authentic emotional credibility. The self-published origins mean limited editorial polish and almost no verifiable professional reception, which makes it hard to recommend confidently beyond the chronic illness and Christian inspirational communities the book is clearly written for.
