Self-help β¦ Penny’s Take
Peaceful Sleep

Peaceful Sleep offers a structured, drug-free bedtime routine that clearly appealed to enough readers to earn a later Simon and Schuster edition. But the 1998 original is dated relative to the now-robust sleep-science literature, and the thin critical record makes it impossible to know how well the advice holds up. If sleep help is what you need, newer titles with stronger research backing are a safer bet.
