Predictably Irrational

Dan Ariely · 2008
83/100
👍 Worth It

Predictably Irrational is one of the most readable and genuinely eye-opening books in the behavioural-economics genre — Ariely's experiments are memorable and his insights about how irrationally we all behave are hard to shake. One chapter addresses sexual arousal research frankly, so it is worth knowing that before handing it to younger teens. The subsequent research-integrity questions about Ariely are real but do not undermine the book's core findings, most of which are corroborated by independent work.
